Our hurling team have been busy in The Faithful Fields this morning playing Mucklagh, Rahan, Clara Boys and Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada in our Cumann na mBunscol hurling tournament. Well done to all involved and thanks to Declan Ward for organising a well run event.
We would like to wish our 6th class student Rachel Wynne the very best of luck. Next Friday, Rachel will be travelling to the Blackpool Cup representing Birr Town FC on the Midlands u13 Girls ETP(Emerging Talent Programme) team. The Blackpool Cup is a European soccer tournament where teams compete for the prestiguous Blackpool Cup! This is a fantastic achievement! Well done Rachel. We are all very proud of you here at Crinkill NS!
3rd Class learnt all about how electricity works this week! We did some experiments where we created circuits, static electricity and learnt how switches work β‘οΈπππ¦

5th completed their class novel, βWreck of the Zanzibarβ, and compiled booklets of analysis, reviews and front cover designs.
Children from 5th class who participated in sporting competitions at the weekend- Offaly Athletics Juvenile Track & Field and the girls won their rugby blitz competition. Well done all π π.

Senior Infants have been learning all about the lifecycle of the butterfly. We read the Very Hungry Caterpillar and designed our own beautiful butterflies. We are looking forward to watching our very own caterpillars go through the cycle too! ππ¦

3rd class had a special visitor today from our local jeweller, Cathal Barber. As part of an art project the children have been researching local artists in our area. We would like to sincerely thank Cathal for sharing his amazing expertise in jewellery making with our class and for the beautiful bookmarks he created!@rjbarberandsons #etwinning #Erasmus
